Musa's agent, Tony Harris disclosed that "all parties" including Dutch Eredivisie side, VVV-Venlo, reached an agreement.
Contrary to reports that Musa, 19, had travelled to Moscow to sign for the Russian giants, SuperSport.com has been informed that the terms were agreed in Amsterdam, Holland on Friday.
"All parties agreed terms in Amsterdam yesterday," revealed Harris over telephone to SuperSport.com on Saturday morning.
The Nigerian international is expected to have his medicals in Germany on Monday.
Harris said Musa is excited with the prospect of featuring for CSKA Moscow in European football.
"Musa is excited about the potential of playing for CSKA Moscow and subsequent opportunity to play (Uefa) Champions League and Europa League football.
"He will have his medicals on Monday in Germany.
"Musa is a true professional and is immensely talented. He has spent only a season and half at VVV-Venlo and has improved tremendously over time.
"I am pleased that he has been able to make a transition to the next stage in his footballing career.
"He has had a great time at Venlo and and cherishes his moments at the club. They will miss him dearly," the Englishman said.
However the transfer fee for Musa's move to CSKA Moscow remains undisclosed though it is estimated that the Russian club will cough out over €10 million for him.
